Those in the Avondale area and beyond know that with the beginning of April comes the need to get out those mops and brooms and start spring cleaning. But Toyota, in conjunction with the National Audubon Society, is presenting consumers with a bit of a different seasonal challenge: spring greening.

As the name implies, the "Spring Greening Challenge" is an interactive campaign that encourages Toyota enthusiasts and others to take an active role in "greening up" the environment around them. Put on by TogetherGreen, a longstanding partnership between Toyota and Audubon, the challenge is available for anyone via a Facebook application.

More specifically, the Spring Greening app provides users with weekly conservation challenges such as changing buying habits (i.e. buying recyclable products) and driving more efficient cars (i.e. new Toyota vehicles). Ok, so maybe Avondale Toyota added that second one in there...But the point remains that Toyota and Audubon are encouraging social media users to put on their green thinking caps and get to work.

Any incentives? you ask. Well, in addition to the pride and joy of knowing you're making a positive impact on Mother Nature, the Spring Greening Challenge offers up plenty of prizes to those who complete the most conservation challenges.
