Toyoda takes 10 turns in a Toyota race car. Now, that's a tongue twister if we ever heard one...wouldn't you agree? As silly as it might sound, the statement is 100-percent true. Toyota President Akio Toyoda has proven that he has what it takes to run an extremely successful company. Just recently, he proved that he can also tackle the tracks by driving a Toyota race car on the legendary Daytona circuit.

After flying in all the way from Japan, Toyoda joined NASCAR veteran Kyle Busch for a bout of thrill-filled driving in a prototype of the upcoming 2013 Toyota Camry NASCAR race car. While the Toyota president is certainly an expert on all new Toyota vehicles and products, he admitted to being a rookie on the racetrack.

Toyoda says, "This is the first time that I have come here and really seen it for myself...however, I've been always interested in this great sort of a cultural event, the racing activity in the United States."1 Not only did Toyoda get a feel for the upcoming Toyota Camry race car before the public has even seen it, but the president also got to meet professional Toyota drivers such as Michael Waltrip, Mark Martin, Clint Bowyer and Martin Truex Jr.

The new 2013 Camry NASCAR offering won't be officially unveiled until May. However, Avondale Toyota invites you to stop by 10005 West Papago Freeway Avondale, AZ 85323 to test drive an equally thrilling street-legal Toyota Camry. We can't offer up a Daytona circuit or professional NASCAR drivers but we can provide you with optimum service and vehicle information.
