We have big news: a surge of hybrid cars is coming to our showroom serving greater Avondale. The delightfully green movement, brought to you by Toyota, is expected to arrive at brand dealerships by 2015. Happily, in the automotive world, two years isn't a long wait at all.
Of course you may be thinking; wait, aren't there already seven new Toyota models that offer a hybrid platform? Why, yes, there are; but wonderfully the Japanese automaker doesn't believe that's enough. In fact, the progressive auto brand plans to almost triple that number and bring a total of 20 green models to the lineup.
It's worth mentioning that the double-digit goal will cover the automaker's Lexus and Scion branches, but the hybrid potential under the Toyota nameplate is seemingly endless. With a variety of models at the happy disposal of the greener powertrain, we couldn't help but speculate what could come next.
That starts with vehicles due for a remodel like the Corolla. Rumored to be redesigning with a Furia concept that was introduced in Detroit earlier this year, at Avondale Toyota we think a fresh hybrid platform would match well with the model's new-do.
Or, perhaps a greener take on the Venza or RAV4 will help to build the lofty fleet of Toyota hybrids. Whatever the model, as the story unfolds we'll be sure to update you on the details via our blog.
