The recent Chicago Auto Show brought with it tons of excitement for enthusiasts of our favorite brand, Toyota. That's because the Japanese automaker officially unveiled its brand-new 2014 Toyota Tundra pickup at the exhibition.
The 2014 Toyota Tundra is exciting in many ways, but mostly because it marks the first restyling of the full-size pickup since the 2007 model year. The new truck will be manufactured in Toyota's pickup plant in San Antonio, Texas.
"Toyota prides itself on listening to its customers and the development of the 2014 American-born Tundra is a perfect example," says Bill Fay, group vice president and general manager, Toyota Division. "Tundra's new exterior design and all-new interior were inspired by customer feedback requesting a more chiseled exterior and refined interior with improved driver ergonomics, and easy-to-use technology, giving customers more of what they want instead, in addition to what they need."1
What's more, multiple engine options will be available including a base-level 4-liter, V6 which makes up to 270 horsepower, a larger 4.6-liter V8 with 310 horsepower and a 5.7-liter V8 with 381 horsepower.
We personally can't wait until the all-new Tundra graces us with its presence here at Avondale Toyota. But, in the meantime, we do carry a large selection of both new Toyota and gently used car models that are currently available.
