For nine years one of Colorado's most glamorous ski towns has played host to the Aspen Ideas Festival. Inviting critical minds and innovative thinkers alike, the perennial event focuses on the future of mobility in urban settings and the ongoing role technologies will have in that discussion. With all that said, it makes complete sense that our preferred Japanese automaker, Toyota of course, was an underwriter.
For the 2013 Aspen Ideas Festival the Japanese brand sparked conversation with their widespread fleet of fuel-sipping hybrids. While the increasingly efficient new Toyota lineup, already available in our showroom serving Phoenix, caught a lot of attention, the models not yet on the market did as well.
Namely, the Toyota Fuel Cell Vehicle Hybrid-Advanced, nicknamed the FCHV-adv, was also at the center of the lively discussion and put on display in the chic resort town. That's because, as many of you likely know, the green-minded brand recently announced their plans to bring the zero-emissions hydrogen car to fruition. Excitingly, that's as soon as the 2015 model year.
All in all the Japanese automaker's first-time appearance at the Aspen Ideas Festival helped stimulate some very enthralling roundtable discussions. At Avondale Toyota Scion, we're looking forward to seeing what the brand brings to next year's event.
In the meantime, to stay up-to-date on news from our mutually preferred auto brand, including the 2015 arrival of the FCHV-adv, we invite you to follow our dealership blog. Of course, if you're simply looking to get behind the wheels of an efficient model now, like the Toyota Prius, we welcome you to visit our showroom in Avondale, AZ, anytime!
