As a Toyota dealer serving greater Phoenix, we know that a base model is anything but basic. Across their lineup and trim levels, our preferred Japanese automaker offers sophisticated styles, riveting performance and innovative (not to mention convenient) features. Take the 2013 Avalon for example, with its starter XLE trim drivers enjoy 268hp and heated seats; that's not basic.
But, we'd certainly agree if you were to call the advanced technologies in the 2013 Avalon XLE paramount. Although, understanding that you're likely to take our opinion here at Avondale Toyota Scion with a grain of salt, allow us to point you to the subjective industry gurus at Cars.com. They'll agree.
In fact, in their 2013 list of the Top 10 Best Base Models, the good folks at Cars.com highlight the Toyota Avalon and its mightily basic LXE trim.
Why?
Well, as we mentioned, the Toyota Avalon XLE offers a robust 268 horsepower. That's achievable through a beefy 3.5-liter V6 engine, which also allows an ample 31 miles per gallon on the highway.
There was also discussion of heated front seats; but that's not all. The Avalon XLE is equipped with an eight-way power driver's seat, four-way power passenger seats and dual-zone climate control for comfort. In regards to convenience, the 2013 Toyota sedan includes a push-button start and keyless entry technology, as well.
