It's a delightful truth: Toyota affords the drivers that we serve from Phoenix with an array of fuel-sipping models. In fact, the brand's hybrid lineup is the most expansive across the industry. As you know, that means folks are able to obtain ample efficiency, while maintaining their automotive individuality.

Naturally, today's thrilling range of hybrids had to start somewhere, and that's with the Toyota Prius and Takeshi Uchiyamada.

If you're not familiar with Uchiyamada, please allow us to figuratively introduce you. In addition to being a residing chairman of Toyota Motor Corporation, he's the mastermind of the Prius. Suffice it to say, he's quite astute when it comes to green technologies, and he's been sharing some of that forward-thinking wisdom with the Economic Club of Washington, D.C.

Specifically, Takeshi Uchiyamada states that, "Some people say hybrid vehicles such as the Prius are only a bridge to the future. But we think it could be a long bridge and a very sturdy one," he continues. "There are many more gains we can achieve with hybrids."1

Logically, we at Avondale Toyota couldn't agree more. Certainly the automaker's hybrids are already efficient, though there's always room for them to be even more so. Take the flagship Prius as an example. Currently the brand is engineering the model's fourth-generation variant, which they hope will boast a ten percent higher mpg ratio than its predecessor.

In the meantime, we welcome you to visit our new Toyota dealership for a test drive in the current model, or the hybrid of your choice. During your stopover we're happy to answer any questions.
