There are many aspects in being a Toyota dealer serving Phoenix area drivers that we enjoy. Most certainly offering folks stylish vehicles that are well-engineered by our preferred Japanese automaker is one such aspect, but there are other highlights too.

You see, tracking the automotive news surrounding Toyota, and passing it along to the folks in Devon, PA, is quite important to us. After all, this is our mutually preferred brand that we're talking about; so, we like to make sure that you stay updated.

With that said, today we have some interesting information regarding the future of the new Toyota lineup; particularly the Japanese automaker's heavy-duty Tundra truck.

To be specific, tongues are wagging that the brand is considering a diesel variant of an impending Toyota Tundra example. As industry gurus are reporting, the oil-sipping powerplant would most likely be a Cummins turbodiesel.

Yes, Cummins; for those of you who may not be familiar, they're the folks who routinely construct diesel engines, filtration systems, electric power generators and controls. At Avondale Toyota Scion, we think that's pretty exciting; it's certain to give drivers even more versatility (and mileage) out of the already dynamic Tundra.

Of course, we should highlight that Toyota has not made any official announcement regarding the diesel Tundra. In fact, there's another option on the table which could see a version of the pickup truck receiving an efficient hybrid powertrain. That's exciting, too.

For more information on this development, and to arrange a test drive of the current-year Toyota Tundra, we welcome you to visit our showroom in Avondale, AZ, anytime.
