If you haven't yet had a chance to check out the 2016 Toyota Corolla -- our resident champion of the compact sedan class -- we at Avondale Toyota Scion hate to be the bearers of bad news, but:

You quite likely are missing out.

Never fear, though, as Autotrader critic, Erica Ibsen, is here today to get you up to speed. Her assessment of the Corolla is available in the video below:

We've got a lot of love for the Corolla's engine, a 1.8-liter four-cylinder. Producing a healthy 132 horsepower and 128 pound-feet of torque, this four-banger is offered with your choice of either a six-speed manual, a four-speed automatic or a continuously variable transmission.

And if fuel economy's a priority, the CVT's the one you want. When had on the LE trim, for instance, a CVT-equipped Corolla should return a robust 32 mpg combined (29 city/38 highway).

To learn more about this snazzy sedan, or to take one for a spin, we suggest you set a course for our Avondale, AZ location. Our automotive aces are on hand to address your every query about the Corolla, or any other Toyota model within the current lineup.
