Here at Avondale Toyota, electric vehicle expansion is coming. As part of its future plans, Toyota is bringing more battery electric vehicles (BEV) to dealerships like ours serving those in Tempe, Glendale, and Peoria. You can get to know some of the current and future options here at our dealership.

2026 Toyota bZ

The 2026 Toyota bZ, previously known as the bZ4X, marks a major refinement of the automaker's first mass-market BEV SUV. For 2026, Toyota simplified the name in the U.S. and introduced key upgrades focusing on range, charging convenience, and usability, which are important to EV buyers. Depending on the configuration, it now delivers up to about 314 miles of estimated range, thanks to new lithium-ion batteries and efficiency enhancements. It also adopts the North American Charging Standard (NACS), allowing access to Tesla’s Supercharger network, which significantly enhances long-distance usability for U.S. drivers. Available with front-wheel drive or dual-motor all-wheel drive, the bZ is positioned as Toyota’s main compact electric SUV, appealing to all types of people in our area.

2026 Toyota bZ Woodland

The 2026 Toyota bZ Woodland broadens the bZ lineup by offering more space, power, and mild off-road capabilities. Sharing the same electric architecture but with an extended body and wheelbase, this model provides increased interior and cargo space, along with adventure-oriented styling and features. Its standard dual-motor all-wheel drive generates about 375 horsepower, making it Toyota's most powerful BEV so far. Features like higher ground clearance, optional all-terrain tires, and Toyota’s X‑MODE traction system enhance its suitability for gravel, snow, and outdoor activities without branding it as a dedicated off-road vehicle. With an estimated range of approximately 260–281 miles, depending on tire choice, the bZ Woodland bridges the gap between compact EVs and larger three-row SUVs, targeting active families seeking EV performance, a rugged look, and greater versatility.

2026 Toyota C‑HR BEV

The 2026 Toyota C‑HR BEV is returning to the U.S. market as a fully electric, coupe‑style compact crossover. Unlike its gas-powered predecessor, the electric C‑HR positions itself as a sporty, performance-focused entry into the Toyota BEV lineup. It features a standard dual‑motor all‑wheel drive producing 338 horsepower, and an estimated range of up to 287 miles, depending on wheel size and trim. It directly rivals compact electric crossovers like the Hyundai Kona Electric and Volvo EX30. Like other new Toyota EVs, it uses the NACS charging port and supports fast charging to 80 percent in about 30 minutes under optimal conditions. This appeals to all those drivers seeking eye-catching design, strong performance, and a smaller option that still has plenty of utility.

2027 Toyota Highlander BEV

The upcoming Toyota Highlander BEV marks a significant milestone electric vehicle plans for Toyota in North America. Scheduled for release as a 2027 model, it will be a first three-row, all-electric SUV and the first BEV assembled in the U.S. at its Kentucky facility. This electric Highlander provides seating for up to seven, ample cargo space, and the familiar Highlander features, now with an electric powertrain, giving families a standout choice without fuel. Toyota has confirmed both front-wheel and all-wheel-drive options, with the largest battery offering an estimated range of around 320 miles. Positioned above the bZ Woodland, the Highlander BEV directly competes with models like the Kia EV9 and Hyundai Ioniq 9, aiming to electrify its best-selling family SUVs rather than limit EVs to niche markets.
