First Look at the 2014 Toyota Highlander

It has long been a cornerstone member of the Toyota new model lineup, available here at Avondale Toyota Scion in Avondale, AZ, and now for 2014 the Highlander is going to receive a massive model overhaul for the new model year, and the first reviews and images are out now on the model, and it looks like Toyota did a truly great job on the updates.

The most immediately noticeable change to the Highlander SUV model in the 2014 model year is its exterior design. Toyota has been modernizing and stylizing the designs of their entire new model lineup for a few years now, and now it is the Highlander's turn. The new iteration of the Highlander is about 3 inches longer than previous versions, and it is also sleeker, and longer than older iterations as well. The whole thing allows for a very sleek, modern silhouette, and a body shape that still provides a ton of utility and interior cargo and passenger space.

One thing that won’t change on this new SUV version is the fact that there will be two engine options available for it. There is a 2.7-liter four-cylinder engine which produces 185 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque, and also a more powerful, but still efficient, 3.5-liter V6 engine, which is capable of 270 horsepower to go alongside 248 pound-feet of torque.
