Edmunds.com Lauds Toyota as One of Most American Auto Brands

Hot dogs, baseball games and apple pie; these are clichéd American pleasures. Sure, we enjoy an afternoon at the ball park, grilling up some Oscar Mayer dogs and chowing down on Grandma's baked goods; that's all good fun. However, we'd like to point out that the Toyota models here in our showroom serving greater Phoenix are just as patriotic.

Okay, we understand if you're a bit wary of this claim. After all they're a Japanese automaker, not an American company, and the brand name in our Avondale Toyota Scion sign gives away our allegiances; but allow us to explain.

As many of you already know, the brand manufactures several of their new Toyota models in the United States. Furthermore, a number of these vehicles are engineered with parts that are made in the U.S. In fact, the latter is the barometer that the good folks at Edmunds.com are using to determine the "most American" vehicles on the market.

To be specific, the abovementioned automotive gurus recently compiled a list that expresses the percentage of U.S-manufactured parts each model has, as specified by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Excitingly, Toyota is proving to be as American as apple pie.

Namely, the Toyota Avalon is quite patriotic. Apart from being manufactured and engineered in the United States, 80 percent of the parts comprising the full-size sedan are built within the U.S.

Intrigued? As part of the American Automobile Labeling Act (AALA) these details are listed on a vehicle's window sticker. To learn more about the origins of your preferred model, we invite you to swing by our Toyota dealership. Housed in Avondale, AZ we're happy to continue the conversation and answer any questions while arranging a test drive, at your convenience!
